About Psychotherapy

Sometimes our own feelings don’t make sense to us and we behave in ways we don’t understand. Psychodynamic psychotherapy aims to explore feelings and behaviour that affect our mental wellbeing and our relationships with others, but remain mostly outside of our awareness.

Working towards a greater understanding of our feelings, behaviour and relationships can help us develop a better sense of identity and give us the freedom to lead a more fulfilling life.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process where, as well as looking at what is going on for you in the here and now, we may spend time reflecting on your experiences growing up, as well exploring other memories. This is because making sense of the past can help us untangle the present and find our way towards the future we want.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
— T.S. Eliot
